We should be moving into a bigger place soon, so what better way to celebrate than to invite nerds to stay at our new house, play board games and go on a day trip to the National Videogames Arcade in Hockley, the best part of Nottingham city centre. It is open from 10am-6:30pm and gives you freeplay access to three floors of gaming goodness for £9.50.

I'm thinking end of Feb or sometime during March, basically before softball season starts again. Who's up for this? There would be plenty of room for people to stay, they'd just have to bring airbeds and sleeping bags as we'd probably only have one sofabed and no guarantee of a guest bed by that point.

If it's a success there's the potential to make it an annual event to fill the gap between the cottage and the BBQ.

Attending:
Me & Fun Sally
Gaz & Jem
Joans
Bamba
Kern
Mr Dave

Maybe:
Kovacs
Devilman

Hotels:
Premier Inn Nottingham North Daybrook
Park Inn by Radisson Blu
Best Western PLUS Westminster Hotel
Best Western Bestwood Lodge Hotel

Maps:
Our new house
The National Videogame Arcade

If I could stay in a nearby hotel (floor sleeping does not appeal)

Thinking about this, Nottingham is only an hour or so away so I won't stop over so that'll free up some space.

More like two hours I think. I suspect there will be plenty of room for all.

Dave, no one has bagsied the sofabed yet so you can have that? You may need to share with Zardozsomeone else though.

We'll split the difference, Google says that the museum is 1 hour and 29 minutes away which will be fine so yeah, depending on the date.. I'm in.

I'll definitely get a hotel, but that's more because I'm an anti-social freak than anything else.

My recent holiday sharing a remote villa with about 20 other people has taught me a valuable lesson in that regard. :D

Tentatively (everything is with me) in. I'll probably get the train back or do the hotel thing. Only been to Nottingham once before and that was a bit of a disaster culminating in me missing the last train home, so it has to work out better than that at least :)

My block list only has five accounts on it and unless you're peddling porn, The Sun, or casinos, I don't think you're blocked. Unless you're referring to my old account? I use underlogic these days.

Weird, I'm pretty sure it was because someone was replying to you and I couldn't see the reply. And this was recent. What was your old account?

I'm not actually sure. I think it was ukdevil, but someone else has that now so maybe they switched their name to it. A little while back, someone had managed to access my old account (which I hadn't used in years) so I reset the password and deleted the account altogether.

Did Sally buy that house because its seemingly the only one anywhere near that area that isn't visible on Google Street View?

House 53 is completely blurred out as well, so I assume they've got something to hide.

For someone who's so concerned with personal data security, posting a google maps link to your home address seems like a bold move
